There is no point in refuting Dr.Zakir's claims .His twisted logic and half-baked percepts have turned him into a dubious figure . He is a gifted orator but he lacks the ability to state the facts honestly . He has just one agenda : To rubbish the better things found in other religions . " Allah is supreme " while other incarnations are imperfect and are lesser gods in comparison to Allah .One doesn't know where Zakirji is heading towards ?One example would be suffice to highlight his crooked jugglery with facts . He says that Quran is the last revelation of God and it applies to whole humanity . All other revelations are now longer relevant since they were meant for specific period . Such nonsense is very difficult to digest ,isn't it ?

I must add that earlier we were dominated by religious superstitions and now it's the turn of scientific superstitions . We should not forget that science and religion cannot be placed on one platform . Religion is guided by faith or Shraddha while Science is governed by reason . No need to state that there are many things in life which are beyond the reach of intellect .To be a perfect human being it's very necessary that we should homour the limitations .

what ever the dr.zakir naik said , he is every proof and reference of his each sentense,if u have dovt u can ask him directly,and islam is for whole humanity, it is indicated in all religious scriptures,if u deny this, that means you are denaying your own religion,prophet mohammed(peace be upon him)has prophisised in all major religious scriptures, if you don't agree , it means you are disagree with you religious scripture,
futher, you are telling religion is different,science is different,and if you believer the god is supreme, and the universe is a small creation of god, how come the science away from the hands of god, think about it if you have brain,

  Dr Zakir naik explains that Islam which means submitting to god Allah the supreme one is originally what god revealed to all mankind throu the many prophets who have been sent to mankind in different times and different places but it was people who with time miss understood it or misinterpreted or corrupted it therefore god the Almighty kept sending prophet to reform the religion and update it to the need of the peopleand the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him was the last prophet to all mankind and the holy Qur'an is to replace all the previous scriptures because it contain all what was revealed in the previou books

I have seen Zakir Naik on Peace TV, which should be re named Intollerance. TV. On this channel he refers to vedic scriptures to validate Islam.

What kind of sect is Islam if one uses other faiths to legitimise Islam.

Mohammed was a child molester, married Aiysha when she was six. Consumated his marraige when she was 9. Disgusting. People of Islam, muselmans follow this man.

My friend, me to, i have heard the lectures of zakir naik, including his debate with our hindu so called scholars like S.s.Ravi shankar and many others. sorry i use these words since our scholars could not quote a single verse from our scriptures nor are good enough to prove it scientifically. S.S. Ravishankar could not even complete his given time for the lecture and said i dont talk toomuch etc. instead of counter arguments, he just said lame words. its not only him, but a lot of other hindu scholars just dont seems to remember a single mantra with reference from the holy books.
the question in my mind is the big WHY...?? while zakir proves not only from the books but, with ref. + scientifically. pls. guide me..

  You are absolutely correct that Mr. Zakir has gifted ability to quote from scriptures, to present scientific explanations at appropriate moment. I admire his ability to do so with ease. .And that’s the reason why he has attained immense popularity amid so-called intellectuals –the frogs in the well.
  You are absolutely correct that the people who are participating as representatives of Hindu religion do not seem to well-versed in Hindu scriptures. Well, a real Hindu scholar would not serve the purpose of the organizers and sponsors!! Have U ever watched how debates are being conducted on prominent news channels? These so-called debates, now part and parcel of TV channels, are merely for cheap titillation.
  Hold your breath. The actual reason for a qualified representative’s inability to quote scriptures lies in the fact that Hindus don’t believe in bombardment of facts. The Hindu seekers and saints are more interested in self-realization and less interested in turning into a dictionary or encyclopedia .The involvement with dull facts and twisted logic is considered to be childish in Hindu religion.
  This does not mean that there is dearth of Hindu scholars .They are many of them but like average Hindu they are more comfortable in being mute spectators. But I am sure that this is not going to be the case in future.
  However, having said that let me make it very clear that there is no need for Hindu scholars to counteract views of Mr.Zakir. His views might appear “gospel truth” for frogs in the well. For average Hindu and Hindu scholars they are devoid of substance. Why will anyone waste precious time in offering refutations?
  Though I am no Hindu scholar but I will still provide you some verse to make you aware of the elements that come to form psyche of a real Hindu (read real Hindu scholar).An average Hindu or Hindu scholar keeps away from bundle of information. Just see how our world has become playground of host of unwanted information. No real knowledge only bombardment of facts!! There is indeed some sort of information mania in our times.

  Being able to quote randomly from scriptures is not big deal. You just need the obsession to do so. The more you do the more perfect you become. Wisdom does not consist in reading the Vedas verbatim or the Quran verbatim. One needs to internalize the scriptures which means understand the many meaning of each and every word. What Dr Zakir Naik does is twist the meaning of the scriptures other than the Quran and presents them in an inferior light so that only Islam is shown as "The Religion". How absurd. How can you limit the pursuit of God like this? One needs a deep understanding of scriptures to appreciate them. A deep and careful study of the Vedas and the Upanishads among the many Hindu scriptures would reveal that entire science modern or otherwise is encapsulated within them. The wide view of the Vedas is far superior to the limited view of the Quran. Quran is like a Kunji (Key) of the Vedas.

Me: How come you people (die-hard fan of Dr Naik) was not told about the other statements in the hindu scriptures like "all paths lead to thee" or "whichever way you come to me I will accept you" or "all paths are equally valid as long as the seeker is true to his own methods"?!! I will tell you why? - because Dr Naik just like any other common muslim cleric is preaching hatred (mild though compared to the extremists) and deliberately hiding some truths to validate his own faith. Me: One of the main pillars of scientific and rational thinking is evolution of life. According to Islamic scholars, Quran dont agree with that. And you are saying it has nothing in confilct with science. You fools believe that the life arose from a bolt from the blue - and you are trying to convince me that there is nothing in Quran that goes against sceince?

  ME : first of all Science is a proven FACT not a theory coz theories can contradict themselves like this one does. .We say many ‘ Scientifc Facts ‘ are already found in the verses of the quran .THE EVOLUTION OF LIFE on which u have ur doubts my friend first of all is a THEORY not a proven fact. There are thousands of scientist today who think darwin’s theory of evolution was rubbish. Stephen Jay Gould, a professor at Harvard University and one of the foremost authorities on evolution Natural History, Vol. 86. Gould is an evolutionist, he just rejects Darwin's theory. Mark Ridley, another evolutionist from Oxford University said in The New Scientist magazine in June 1981 p 831 said In Darwin's theory, the changes were so slow and gradual that science cannot observe the evolution and knowledgeable evolutionists buried most of Darwin's theory over 20 years ago, u can find plenty others too. So u see I don’t think that in this case it’s a big shock that quran doesn’t support the theory and THEORIES my friend come up every day. Im sure u wont find all the rubbish in the Quran.. THERE is however written about the start of life in the quarn in surah furqaan(surah-al alaq) which is now medically proven true.
  Some one said :Science and religion cant be put on the same platform..-Why NOT??? Science is a FACT something that a human mind would believe easily. Then Im sure u don’t believe that AIR is around u , b coz its nt SEEN and neither does ur religion say so. Im sure u don’t think u take in oxygen and give out co2 . and im sure if u close ur mouth and nose shut for more than half n hour u wont die, b coz ur religion doesn’t say so..! may be u shud try it!! In every speech of his,(which are recorded) he also says a phrase from the quran ‘ LA KUM DINAKUM WALIA DIN’ meaning THERE IS NO COMPULSION IN RELIGION . You all are free to practice ur religion . he has never made any anti statement too. , he is just putting forward his knowledge to the people. If u think u have statements to make , maybe u shud hire a stage , arrange a speech mayb ppl will come to hear u. Islam specifies on believing in ONE GOD , which the VEDAS do too, that’s all Dr. Zakir naik is trying to do, make people to go back and read their own scriptures first and so ‘all paths leads to thee(one god) is what even the quran speaks of’.

    Vedas clearly mention that a man should practice monogamy,or in rare of rarest cases celibacy spreading knowledge across humanity...
    
    Even according to Quran 'the first Prophet Adam' had only one wife, & even if he wanted, he couldnt marry another woman. So its Monogamy, the verdict is given by God in the first book for humanity ( Vedas) itself.....Check out the current world population ( excluding India's where there is rampant female infanticide), it also shows total world population ratio male to female is slightly above one approx: 1.07:1 ... This clearly shows the quran was only meant for 7th century arabians, & not beyond that time.

Why is it that when Muslims try to spread Islam it is always equated with spreading hatred? Muslims never feel hatred after watching his lectures, they simply feel enlightened by his knowledge and sympathy for non-Muslims. If non-muslims feel hate after they listen to his lectures then it’s most likely because their own scholars looked like fools when trying to provide counter-arguments in support of their own religions. When you believe in something truly you want other people to believe in it too. To feel otherwise is selfish and contradictory. Dr Naik is simply trying to guide others into what he believes to be true. It’s not his fault that advocates of other religions are too weak to prove him wrong. If you’re so unhappy about Islam spreading, then go out there and spread your religion and see how many people you can convert. This is every Muslims challenge to you. N the obnoxious moron who called Muhammad (peace be upon him) the devil is spreading hatred and is possessed by the devil himself. May Allah grant us refuge from people like him.

ZAKIR NAIK’S PROPAGANDA IS IMMATURE AND DUBIOUS.

Although an acclaimed scholar of comparative religion, Dr Naik clearly does not understand the scriptures of other religions. It is just not enough to be able to quote randomly from scriptures. Any obsessed individual should be able to do that. The scriptures are not like text books that you study for pedantic knowledge. One has to internalize the material in the scriptural books and understand the hidden meaning in them with wisdom, which unfortunately everybody is not endowed with. That is why one needs a Guru for starters. Dr Zakir Naik however manipulates holy books of other religions to make his point. His interpretations of the Bhagvad Gita, Vedas and Upanishads are clearly childish and insufficient. He analyzes every non-Muslim religious text with an Islamic bias. His method of finding analogues to analyze and interpret is juvenile and immature. Zakir Naik's superficial debates enable him to gain appreciation among the simple-minded. Indeed he has even been able to convert some gullible Hindus. What a pity!
What Dr Zakir Naik fails to understand is that Hinduism does not fit into the paradigm of an organised religion and hence cannot be studied in the same manner as Islam, Christianity or Judaism etc. Here is piece of advice to Dr Zakir Naik and his die hard followers. The history of religion is much like a river. The Ganges has narrow beginnings and moves with great vigour replete with purity and clearness from the Himalayas and then broadens a little as she swiftly meanders across the Gangetic plains and then finally becomes unclean as she becomes very broad and slows down before merging with the infinite Oceans. Likewise religions began with Sat Yug replete with purity and wisdom, much less populous and then entered the Treta and Dwapar Yug with its attendant reduction of purity and little more population and then finally enters the Age of the Kali with murky beings, shady deals, corruption, sinners and vast populations. The population is analogous with the width of the Ganges and the wisdom and purity in life akin to the tejas (swiftness) and clarity / purity of the Ganges. What will follow after Kalyug is dissolution of creation. Which is why the Semitic faiths do not believe in rebirths. There isn’t much time left for creation for rebirths to be taken seriously. The concept of heaven and hell take predominance over the concept of rebirths. That doesn’t mean that rebirths do not happen. As always depending upon its desires and samskaras and individual soul will find a suitable matrix (yoni) of male and female to manifest in this World. This may happen immediately upon the death of an individual and release of the soul or it could take even centuries. In the intervening period the individual soul would exist on a plane that would be characteristic to its own nature. It would be either happy or sad depending on its nature and karma. That defines heaven and hell in a nutshell.
Coming to Kalyug, God has resorted to ruthless means to ensure that his faith is restored in the World. And so the advent of Semitism and particularly Islam. Further there is very little time left for creation. God wants everyone to understand this and hence the message of heaven and hell. Dooms day is round the corner. Islam will only hasten it. In all this the relevance of the Vedas and Upanishads do not diminish at all. Importantly, Quran and Islam themselves have evolved merely to restore the Aryan faith and the Vedas. The Quran is nothing but like a Key (Kunji) to the Vedas. The Vedas are like the ultimate text books. Quran only hopes in a small way to take home the message of the Vedas to suit the lesser mortals of Kalyug. The seamless manner in which the Vedas and other Hindu scriptures treat nature delving into the deepest truths of the Cosmos as well as the Inner Consciousness (the Infinite as well as the Infinitesimal) should leave no one in doubt about their ultimate source and origin. And the Vedas and other Hindu scriptures are timeless. No one knows when they were revealed. They are ageless and immortal. Quran can only be a way to the Vedas which indeed is the ultimate. Finally, remember when an unmanifest thing becomes manifest, it first assumes the shape of an ellipse. The distant galaxies are an ellipsoid, the egg/embryo is one too. Therefore the Shiv Linga which is an ellipsoid. The same ellipsoid was gifted by Abraham (pbuh) to the Shrine Kaaba at Mecca. Even Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) is chronicled to have bowed in front of this elliptical black stone in Mecca. This ellipsoid is nothing but a Shiv Linga. This itself should establish the ultimate nature of the Aryan faith and the Vedas.

Dear SD Rajan,

Your understanding of the spirituality is quite unique. You definitely must be obsessed with the ideas of life, death and the infinite to be able to come up with such thoughts. Kudos to you. I too am a Muslim, but realize that Islam is a religion of peace. The distortion is in the political Islam. Political Islam needs to be condemned tooth and nail, even if it means reducing their advocates (like the Pakis) to the proverbial "Stone Age".

Your comments here are well taken. But can't understand rebirths. How can anybody be born again. Does it have any scientific basis? What is this karmik cycle and samsara? Please throw some light.

Quran mein yeh bhi likha hai ki behtar hai ki ek shaadi karo..aur agar ek se zyada karo to sab biwiyun ke saath sahi barabar ka saluq karo aur haq do..koi injustice na ho..agar kiya to uski saza milegi. Yeh ek Ek condition rakh di gayi hai joki bahot mushkil se hi koi shaqs puri kar sakta hai ki wo saari biwiyun ko barabar ka haq de aur equality de..isliye yeh apne aap mein Allah ne insaan ko ek condition de di joki kaafi mushkil hai...yeh to ek baat hui.

100 BAATON ki ek BAAT....As a muslim its not mandatory to have 4 wives but its a relaxation given to muslims who for some reason would have to marry again...so if muslims follow the something wrongly why is Islam blamed for it? If muslim man is not equally dealing with his wives , then its his problem..its his hypocrisy.

Its same like 'Sati pratha' in hindu religion which was followed by hindus and might not be mentioned in the Vedas.Who has to be blamed for it?

Dear David Ridgewell,

Regarding your query on rebirth. The concept is founded on the ground that we are all spiritual beings who only have a human experience. Just as in a dream state we believe that state to be ours for sure, our human experience also makes us believe that there is no other state than that. Our human experience is in the Gross State. After death the spirit moves to a Subtle State. Beyond this we have the Casual State in which the Gross and the Subtle States can be controlled. Ancient Rishis could read the movement of spirits and they wrote them on leaves which today is famous as NADI ASTROLOGY. The Rishis could move with ease to a Casual State. Beyond all these three states is the Infinite or the Parameshwar or Allah. In Kalyug we are so engrossed in materialism that we cannot percieve any state other than the Gross State. Therefore the advent of Islam and Christianity where we are expected only to take the name of God. This doesn't mean that the Vedic injunctions are all "Mumbo Jumbo". Islam believes in Astrology but urges the mortal beings in Kalyug to abstain from it because obsession with that subject could cause unnecessary turmoil in our ordinary day to day lives.

Coming back to "Rebirths", everything that we do, think, believe, see and perceive with our senses draws an imprint on our conscience. The sum total of all this forms our "Karma". This decides our state in the hereinafter. The hereinafter refers to that of the "Spirit". Remember the human condition is also that of the Spirit. The only difference is that the condition is a human experience of the spiritual self. Therefore the claim that the hereinafter referred to in Islam and Christianity is only related to the concept of heaven and hell is unsubstantiated in the religious texts of these two great religions. In fact there is nothing in the Quran and Bible that says rebirths do not occur. The term however is not used as it is in abstract terms a misnomer. Nontheless the spirit could assume a human condition depending on the karmic connection. For bypassing the cycle of the Gross and Subtle states one needs to move to the higher Casual State. That can be done only through Sadhana and Yogic practices. Remember through meditation and Sadhana, one can only go to the Casual State, never become one with the Infinite. The Infinite is unique. This is what is proclaimed even by the Quran. The Infinite has no attributes. It is formless. This is proferred indeed by all religions.

Dr Zakir Naik's reading of religious thought is perhaps only true in only one respect... that Islam is the New Age Religion. That doesn't mean that other religious thoughts are all hog wash. Aim is for humanity to collectively reach the domain of Godliness. How one does it depends on ones inclination, attitudes and bring up. There is nothing to suggest in any religious thought demeaning other faiths. Zakir Naik is prone to ridiculing Swamy Rajneesh. Why? Is it because Indians are peace loving and don't take such things to heart? Swamy Rajneesh is no God. But he is an elevated soul. There are so many multitudes who have found solace in his writings and thoughts. His was quite a mind. For Zakir Naik to critisize him is downright stupid and immature. Dear Zakir Naik and his fans, please understand that the age that we know of and have historically recorded is the Kalyug. Before this we had the Dwapar, Treta and Satyugs. The Vedic faith of the Aryans is what was prevalent during all other previous Ages. The Vedas is like the breath of the Infinite. It is timeless and withing it is contained all the secrets of creation and God. There are innumerable philosophers and scientists working to decipher the complex scriptures of the Vedas even in the West. One day the World will surely know the timeless greatness of the Vedas. Christianity and Islam and indeed all other Semitic Faiths have been introduced by the Supreme Being only in the Kalyug to enforce the Aryan Faith. The likes of Zakir Naik will come to know of this only at the time of Judgement.
