The number of people dying in accidents on the road has been rising with each passing year . Yet we continue to harbour the impression that situation is not alarming , something so evident in government's poor measures to provide commuters safe journey . Ironically , bad roads have in no way curbed our desire to own a new car which are not only responsible for frequent accidents but also leave little space for the pedestrians and other vehicles on the road . According to latest findings , most deaths on the road are caused due to excessive bleeding and lack of timely medical help . The post-accident steps in India are mired in confusion and chaos created by the curious onlookers , who more often than not turn out to be silent killers for the person needing immediate medical treatment . There is need to change the mindset of the doctors , police and public to provide a new life to people injured in the accidents . Above all, it's high time the government realizes that better roads would not only boost the economy but also save the lives of thousands of people dying in the road accidents .
