As per anti-terrorism squad (ATS) latest revelations Saudi based NRIs extended financial help to LeT to engineer blasts in Mumbai with co-operation of ex-Simi members .However , the utterings Maharastra Deputy CM RR Patil prove beyond doubt that terrorists had chalked out a meticulous plan to fulfil its sinister designs."We studied the list of those who died and found that 75% were Gujaratis ", stated Patil . The eagerness to appease the minorities has made the UPA government turn a blind eye to the measures necessary to re-structure internal security .It's still not too late to realize that Pakistan is like a horse which needs to be whipped from time to time to keep it in a desirable direction The arrest of four Pakistani citizns by the Nepali police , who seem to have a hand in the Mumbai blasts confirms the treacherous role of Pakistan . It remains inexplicable as to what has prevented this government from making it known to Musharraf that initiatives to strenghten the relationships cannot run parallel to Pakistani sponsored attacks . It's really shocking that most of the coailition patners as well as some of the Cabinet ministers , hailing from Congress, are swayed by dirty tricks which deviate and distract the attention of citizens hoping for peacful days instead of being governed by the policies which catapult the nation to greater heights . It wouldn't be unfair to suggest that both PM and Home minister have been held hostage to " backdoor politics " of so-called secular parties .It's time for the UPA government to decide what's more important -appeasment of the minorities or integrity of the nation ?The flawed policies of inept and corrupt leaders have turned India into a soft state .The problems like Naxalism and terrorism have spiralled out of control because of lack of vision in leaders at the helm of affairs . Worse , there is little hope , the way appeasment game has come to dictate the state of affairs , that government would stamp out anti-national elements from its land . It's obsession for welfare of minorities has tied the hands government in framing policies for evacuation of illegal migrants in Assam and West Bengal . This has encouraged ISI to take advantage of chaos and confusion prevailing in the Indian subcontinent . It would be foolhardy to expect present government to carve a tough line of action . It's time for the electorate to be judicious in electing their representatives for the highest posts . Let our voters become conscious of the fact that group of right men/women alone can put the nation back on tracks .Certainly , one can't expect people immersed neck deep in corruption to shape the future of nation in a desired way .Let's accept the harsh truth that the continuance of dialogue with Pakistan has not resulted in downfall in terrorist activities . The revelations of Nawaj Shairf add a sinister twist to the eforts aimed at improving relationships. It gives an insight into the mindset of Pakistani rulers , who are not botherd to break the diplomatic shackles.Though the uttterings of Sharif are an attempt to weaken the political platform of Musharraf , one cannot ignore the implications inherent in it. Even our former Prime Minister Atal Vajpayee has put a seal of approval on the validity of Sharif's statements. This should be enough for government to keep in mind contradictions enveloping Musharraf. The government should make it clear to Pakistan that unless it comes to wipe out terrorist camps operating in its land, the so-called efforts to put things back on track would never materialise. It's really shocking to know that establishing of links via introduction of bus services has enabled terrorist to further sharpen their claws. Against this backdrop let's not commit the blunder to pursue a soft policy towards a nation adept in treachorous means .Or else , such moves merely to appease the minorities would prove fatal for internal security of the nation .
